JACKSONVILLE PALLETS
As the first major city encountered when arriving in Florida via Interstate-95, Jacksonville serves as a large logistics hub for the state of Florida. Because of easy access via two interstates, 95 and 10, plus a major port that is also Florida’s largest container port, a good portion of freight and goods move through Jacksonville.
New, remanufactured and recycled pallets are Premier’s specialty in Jacksonville. Our new pallets, which can be built in virtually any size or to any specification, can be built from virgin lumber made from hardwoods or softwoods. Hardwood lumber includes eastern US species such as hickory, maple and oak. Our softwood pallets are constructed from southern yellow pine which is plentiful in Florida.
Our remanufactured or “combo” pallets can be made from reclaimed lumber that we salvage from used pallets or a combination of new and reclaimed lumber. These types of pallets have become a popular item in the last few years given the price increases of both new and used pallets. By using the Pallet Design System, a software engineering tool, we can design a pallet specification to equal your current new pallet’s functionality and unit load requirements. The end result is a cost savings without a sacrifice in performance.
Our recycled 48 x 40 pallets, otherwise known as GMA or grocery pallets, come in four different grades. Premium A, our best grade, works particularly well with automated palletizers that have demanding pallet specifications with tight tolerances. Standard A grades have no double stringers while our B+ and B grades have double or sister stringer repairs. More information can be found on our Recycled Wood Pallets page.
We also can provide pallets that have been treated so that they comply with ISPM-15 rules for wood packaging exports. Whether new, recycled or remanufactured our heat treated pallets will be certified for export use.
A major concern of most pallet users in the last year or two has been pallet availability. At Premier Pallets, ensuring we can provide our customers with pallets when needed is one of our highest priorities.
