NEW PALLETS
We build all of our new wood pallets for sale from two basic types of lumber: hardwood or pine. The name hardwood is somewhat of a misnomer in that some species of hardwoods are “softer” than dry (kiln-dried) pine, which is classified as a softwood. Our new hardwood pallets are made from mixed species of wood such as oak, ash, maple and others that are “green” (not kiln-dried). Our pine pallets are usually built with kiln-dried southern yellow pine, consequently the moisture content of the wood is low.
Since we cut lumber specifically for new pallets a new pallet’s price is determined mainly by the volume of lumber, which is expressed in board feet, that is required to build the pallet. We can build new hardwood or pine pallets in virtually any size. We also manufacture new ISPM 15 stamped heat treated pallets in Georgia that comply with export regulations.
We utilize the Pallet Design System software (PDS), developed by Virginia Tech, to custom design new pallets to meet the packaging needs of our customers. In conjunction with understanding our customer’s unique pallet uses and needs along with the PDS, we can design a pallet that minimizes cost but performs well.
